Rockingham Educational Foundation, Inc. (REFI)  is partnering with our friends at Barnes & Noble to organize a Book Fair. The event will be held on Thursday, March 21st, 2019 from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Barnes & Noble store in Harrisonburg. This literacy promotion in our community is also a fundraising event.

Meet a local author, Tamara Shoemaker. Shoemaker’s fantasy books include the Heart of a Dragon trilogy: Kindle the Flame, Embrace the Fire, and Unleash the Inferno, as well her Guardian of the Vale trilogy: award-winning Mark of Four, Shadows of Uprising, and Guardian of the Vale. Her latest release, River Running, combines her fascination with history, magic, and romance, all captured in one story. She will read excerpts from her book as well as host a question and answer session. Please plan to attend from 6pm to 7pm.

Enjoy seeing the talented work of many Rockingham County Public School students on display during the evening and choose from a selection of books picked by local elementary school students as their favorite!

We will also be showcasing the work of many of our Educational Grant recipients such as finished Makey Makey inventions produced by our very creative teachers!

REFI will receive 10% of the total amount of books sold. Purchasers must present the voucher that advertises the event and has our book fair code on it. You can also visit BN.COM/bookfairs to support REFI online from 3/21/2019 to 3/26/2019 by entering Bookfair ID# 12495875 as you checkout online.
