The Rockingham Educational Foundation, Inc. is proud to support the Rockingham County Public Schools. REFI is a 501 (c) 3, non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds and facilitating programs to enhance education for our students. REFI is proud to offer these scholarships that were established to honor or remember special people.
The Inspire Award allows the school board and community to regularly and publicly celebrate the impact that RCPS teachers make each day, whether on a particular child or class, or by encouraging a future teacher. In partnership with RCPS, REFI supports this recognition by providing a gift card to the awardees. REFI supports creative and innovative curricular development that is beyond the scope of the typical school budget. Innovative ideas can be ones that support “out of the box” approaches to curriculum implementation. Congratulations to all 89 grant proposals that were awarded for fall 2017. REFI manages a collection of ever-changing new and used materials and equipment in a depot warehouse. RCPS staff members may select items for use in the classroom with the students. If you would like to donate to the depot, contact the REFI Office.
