Scholarship Information
All REFI scholarship requirements:
1. Demographic and application questions
2. Two Short Essays (750 words maximum for each)
“Why should you be considered for a REFI Scholarship?”
“How have you given back or contributed to your school or community?”
*NOTE: some scholarships may require additional essays
3. Digital copy of high school transcript
4. Two school officials’ letters of recommendation - teacher, administrator, coach, club advisor, etc.
*NOTE: some scholarships may require recommendations from specific individuals (specific teacher, coach, community member, club leader, etc.). If one of the two required letters you submit from the person listed/named, an additional letter is not needed.
*Additional information and specifics can be found in individual scholarship descriptions.
Additional consideration for scholarships include:
Please check ALL scholarships for which you wish to be considered. Checks for scholarships will be paid directly to the college/university and sent to the recipient for delivery to the college in July. Once your scholarship funds are deposited into your school account, it is up to your college how they want to distribute the funds.
REFI requires that applications be completed online.
Deadline for submitting application is February 27, 2026.
