There is no more valuable investment in our community than creating a public education system that prepares our children to be successful. Rockingham Educational Foundation, Inc. (REFI) believes the future of Rockingham County rests upon every child in our schools graduating with a quality education. The Foundation believes in the power of partnerships. With all of us working with a common purpose, we can share our resources to make sure that each student and teacher is provided the support that they need to thrive in our ever-changing educational climate.
The purpose of this letter is to ask for your help in funding our newly established RCPS Agricultural Heritage Blue and Gold Fund (The Ag Fund). The contributions that we have already received are in memory of some amazing contributors to education and the agricultural community amount to over $30,000 so far. Can you help us reach our goal of establishing $100,000 in three years so that we can offer opportunities to students in financial need to experience the benefits of FFA? Interest income earned from the fund will be used to help pay for deserving Agricultural Education students participation in State and National FFA competitions and workshops. A contribution to this fund is an investment in America’s future and the future of agriculture in Rockingham County. No amount of money is too small as we work together to reach our goal! This year, we will honor FFA Leadership through recognition of alumni members who have served as Chapter, Federation, State, and National FFA officers. You can reserve a table that seats eight for $280.00 or purchase individual tickets for $35.00. Sponsors of tables will receive recognition at the event. Please reserve early as we expect the event to sell out quickly. The meal will consist locally sourced chicken and sides in honor of poultry heritage in Rockingham County.
